What the market likes to eat

I am wanting to write a few games, of course, who doesen''t? I am wondering, what is IN, and what is OUT? What is cool and what is bogus? Were can I find this out? What themes are now wanted in games? SciFi? Racing? Simulator? Fighting? Shoot-Em-Good, Shoot-Em-Dead? Puzzles? Stradigy? Most of my games are free, but I don''t want to make games that won''t be played. -Thanks

Just make a game that is fun for you. It will probably be fun for other people too. If you don''t like games, then don''t even think about being a game programmer because it just won''t work out.
