I noticed when placing my texture on a 256x256 quad in Direct3d 8 that it mixed with the diffuse color of the verticies, 0xffffffff, and made the texture slightly too bright. Is there way around this or do I just have to mess with the diffuse color of the verticies? I would really like to be able to use the colors from the texture. ---- Herb M. Thank you, Drunken Hyena. That will prove useful in the future. The problem was actually in my video card, though. I had to do a little gamma tweaking.
