static classes - efficient ?

im finding that im using a lot of static classes in my engine. is this a bad thing ? for example i have a config class, all of it is declared static, that stores the current system configuration for my engine. if any class needs any of the info they call the static members (obviously). i just dont know if doing things that way is bad or not, can anyone help me out here ? thanks, bg3ntl

Static data is very efficient since pretty much no run-time info is required. So you should be OK
