I''m new to game programming and have taken a "Structured Programming" class that used C as the language to teach us. I have picked up C++ for dummies and have been wondering how to render graphics for video games using C++. A sample of code may be useful for me to see in order to understand how this works. Thanks! http://ball5.org

1:st of all: Which OS you´ve got?
2:nd: Do you have MS Visual C++?

If you haven''t got XP, and you answered you to 2, i strongly recommend using DJGPP or any other dos compiler, such as borland, so that you can access the wonderful mode 13h*...

it´s good for starters, and then you can move on to SVGA

*mode 13h, or 0x13 if you like, is 320x200x8bit, and very simple and fast...

i don´t remeber axactly where to get it but there´s a link here if you go to nr 1 in the list there...
there you look a little bit down....

Of course, you could allways you DX, but i wouldn´t reccomend it to begginers =/
