An alien race landed on earth approximately 25 years after the first civilization arose. Their purpose? To find alternate energy sources for their energy depleted planet. The egyptians referred to them as a single entity. Ra.
The alien race found a way to send mining ships to the surface of our sun and mine it for Hydrogen. Those sneaky little aliens!
Unfortuantely, the rate of their mining has been dramatically increased over the years, as they had to produce more and more energy for their starved planet. Their newest mining techniques have enabled them to break off large chunks of the flaming mass and haul them to their solarsystem (perhaps teleport the chunks to their planet?) leaving our sun with not enough mass to hold our planet in orbit, or enough to keep us warm. Plants are dying off, weather patterns have changed, animals are dying. The human race being as resillient as they are have recognized the problem in time and built impenetrable domes around their cities, terraforming the inside of the domes with greenhouse gases. It keeps it warm enough to live, but you cannot breathe the air outside.
What will they do? How will they continue to survive?
