hey, memory newbie question: is there an easy way (not visual C environment specific) to watch the amount of free memory available so i can look for memory leaks? -me

I''m not sure if this is the kind of thing you are looking for, but you can see how much free memory there is with the following code:
  
MEMORYSTATUS memInfo;
GlobalMemoryStatus(&memInfo);
freeMemory = memInfo.dwAvailPhys;
