Who here would actually play a text-based RPG? I am an excellent writer ( don''t mean to brag), but I am really good with fantasies and RPG, and was just thinking about ditching the whole "Graphics make the best games" and write a text-based one. It will have pictures and all to accompany it (my friends aren''t too bad of artists)... Well I just want to know how much you all like RPG, and I don''t mean the hack-n-slash part, I mean the RP part. Thanks. ~Dwarf

I am actually in the process of writing a text based RPG. I was bored one day and decided creating a story line would be fun. It is currently still pretty small (the map only has 25 "areas"), but the fight sequences and inventory are coming along pretty well.

To answer you question: I enjoy them!

I''m makeing a game that has multiple layers in side a tower, where you fight monsters and stuff, and go to the town to buy stuff, and things like that, then there is another town once you beat the tower and there is a very nice story there.

I would go for it, but make it completely web-based if you can. Then you could get a lot of people playing it, because they could just stumble onto your site and start playing, without having to download/install anything (especially if it''s free!). You can always add graphics later if it''s a success.

Thank you for using Slambot.
