Hi! I''ve coded an implicit curves(F(x,y)=0) rasterizer. It works pretty fine, ''till I don''t enter any function with double points (point, where can curve have 2 or more tengent lines). Can anyone help me with solving that .. to display the curve correctly? I''m usign Marching Squares (analogy to the Marching Cubes) algorithm. Dave007

Hi,

Just an idea. Isn''t it possible to rewrite the curves so that you get parametric curves instead? If one can, it ought to be easy to rasterize those instead.

Anyone else might know more in this area.

..it''s not possible in all cases ... yes, I can rewrite the y^2=x (parabola) to the 2 functions ... y=sqrt(x) and y=-sqrt(x) ..but what''s when user enter x^8-x^6*y+x^4*y^8-+3y^3-1=0??
...I''d be littke bit harder (
