Pointers.. the source of all evil?

I don''t get it... after adding some new mesh code all the pointers in my engine stoped working... I get no syntax errors while compling but when i run the program it crashes as soon as it reach a pointer call (->). With the access violation message... And if I comment out the line with the error the program just crashes on the next (->). ex. ATH_INFO->MAP_FILE_NAME = "Test.ath"; class) (LPSTR) Is this some global consperasy against c++ programmers or is there a simpeler solution? //Toxic Soul

A crash when dereferencing a pointer often means that the pointer contains not what you would like it to contain . I would take a debugger and have a look at the pointer value.
