I''m sorry to disappoint you, but there are no C++ compilers to control sprites. The only way to get around this is to use the famous operating system OSSO (An italian OS). There is a command gcc_sprite and this compiler works for you.

1) Ignore Kneelz
2) I don''t know how much you C++ you know... Have you checked out the link "For Beginners" way up on the page?
If you want to display graphics, you need to use a graphics API (or make one yourself - not really recommended... too much work). DirectX and OpenGL seems to be the main alternatives. There are great books on these.
