Terrain Generation using fractals...

Hi, I''ve been working on a terrain engine, and the relevent tools. One of which is designed to generate a heightmap using various algorithms. I''ve got a few (particle deposition/fault-line fractals), but could anyone else point me to some particular fractal algorithms good for terrain? I''ve seen plenty for clouds, trees, plants etc... but only a couple of good ones for terrain/heightmaps... many thanks, Jack;

I think this ALL the heightmap generation stuff I have seen.
(near the bottom of the page)

There is probably more out there somewhere. It's just finding it.
