Screensavers...

i believe you just change the file extension to ".scr" and put it in the windows directory... you will probably want to read up on what kind of parameters windows passes to a screen saver program when it begins, but to actually just get it to work is that simple.
EDIT: one thing that you SHOULD absolutely do though is to have the program check if there is a previous instance of itself... because windows will keep starting the program repeatedly once the screensaver kicks in....

it is a regular EXE... but there are standard command-line parameters automatically passed to a screen saver to account for preview mode, the "settings" screen, and "actual screensaver" mode... they are switches like "/s" or something like that...
