DirectX SDK CD3DApplication

When you look at the examples in the directx sdk they all use this class CD3DApplication and then derive a class CMyD3DApplication (for example) from that and store everything (including message handlers and stuff) in those two classes. Is this really the best way to do this ??? It certainly brings down the number of globals you have to use. Does anyone have any thoughts(bad english?) on this ??? Does anyone ever use the DirectX AppWizard under vc 6.0 that comes with the directx sdk??? Edited by - Crawl on January 16, 2002 10:30:27 AM

i use versions which I modify quite heavily.

If you don''t understand what is happening under the hood, dont use the class.

The sad thing about artificial intelligence is that it lacks artifice and therefore intelligence.
