I was wondering if I make up a company name to use in my game to give it that ''professinal look'' is this legal or do I have to register it etc, what about in different countries eg if I registered it in the UK would I be alowed to distibute it in the USA etc I could really use some advice on this as I want to set up a website to show of my work.
Name it whatever... its just a name... you don''t NEED to register it, but its really good to if your company goes commercial.
What about if you think of a name, yet next week you find that very domain name for sale on the internet...?
Name it whatever you want, within reason. Some localities put minor restrictions on names, though. For instance, many places you can''t put ''Inc.'' Or ''LLC'' on the end of your company name if you haven''t actually filed the proper paperwork. Pick something generic like ''Enterprises'' or ''Company'' and you''ll be fine pretty much everywhere.
