Is there anyone how to translate the OpenGL co-ordiante unit into meters or feet? This must be a common conversion if you want a realistic feel in your 3D world. messiah

Well, you don''t convert essentially. You just say that I am going to make every unit one meter in length. So, if you specififed a giant to be 10x10x5 units don''t make the ant 15x15x2 units more like .01x.01x.0001 Depends on how big you want your giant to look though. It''s all just what the viewer perceives; In OpenGL, the unit of length is only a unit.

Be carefull about your z-range though. It''s limited to a tight dynamic range, so you''ll have to adjust it as you change your scale.
