Its a great book. If you havent read any game books before it may be a difficult read but certainly manageable. Personally I read "The Zen Of Direct3d Game Programming" first. This book is for total beginners and goes over the basic theories behind games very well, despite it being for directx.
Well, that was a waste of 2 minutes of my life. Now I have to code faster to get 'em back...
Well, I just bought it and I''ve found it to be quite a good book. I''m not quite sure what you mean by beginner though. The book assumes that you have a working knowledge of C/C++ but doesn''t assume much else. So if you know C/C++ but don''t know much about 3d programming, it''s great, but if you don''t know the language yet, then you should buy a C/C++ book to learn it first.
