i´m very confused about the problem that QueryPerforanceCounter does only work in the MSVC debug version, but not in the release. im using it between rendering frames to get the time. but in the release version, when i call QueryPerformanceCounter, nothing is drawn!!!! if i remove this statement, then everything works fine... what´ts going on there, sh... happens...... sorry but i hate things like this. a debug version should reveal bugs like this, instead the release version does it! anyone an idea? greetings gammastrahler

I have also been successful using this function in a release version. Maybe there is a logic problem in your code that only shows up with a ''fast'' build. That is, the release version runs faster, and may reveal a logic problem with the timing portion of your code. Or, maybe you discovered a problem with the release library.
