Hi, I know how to get the modeldata out of a 3ds file, but how can I get any animation data, e.g. keyframes. Is there a good (free) tutorial about this subject in the www, and if yes where? Thanks in advance. Bosso

Can you point me to a place where I can learn how to get the model data out? Is there a specification anywhere?
Well, that was a waste of 2 minutes of my life. Now I have to code faster to get 'em back...
http://lib3ds.sourceforge.net

I studied the source code (which is very well written) and learned how to extract the stuff.

one note: the last time I checked all the downloadable files were gone :-( I hope they put em up again.
A very good sample programs are at http://www.gametutorials.com/Tutorials/OpenGL/OpenGL_Pg3.htm
Try it!!!
But it doesn''t talk about animation.
