Documentating someone elses code is a lot of fun actually

We have a massochist in our midst

You''d do well at some games companies!... On some projects I''ve worked on I''ve been handed code written by people from external partner companies to get working with ours without any documentation, not even any comments - which is a particular pain when the code is doing stuff in 3D so implements a load of maths stuff and you have to spend days going over the code just trying to work out basic stuff like which handedness their 3D coordinates are, whether their matrices are row or column major etc and the worst: having to take a function which constructs a particular type of matrix and work backwards to determine what the parameters of the function should be. *

Maybe that could be a new tyoe of job: "undocumented code documentor"

[*]Thankfully on projects where Creative Asylum are the main/only developer this doesn''t happen… <br><br>–<br>Simon O''''Connor<br>Creative Asylum Ltd<br><A HREF="http://www.creative-asylum.com">www.creative-asylum.com</A>
