Hi everyone, how can i load the x file with animation in Direct 3D 8? Or any tutorial about it? Thanks!

Jim Adams answered this in a previous post. It was 3 pages long and I remember him saying something like **Take a deep breath** at the beginning. Basically, you need to use skinned meshes. Animation with an x file isn''t easy. As for tutorials, Jim has a article series on doing animation with an x file using skinned meshes. It isn''t finished but the first two are done. Look at parsing an x file and building an x file hietiery in the articles section.

If you look at the skinned mesh sdk example, it shows how to do it. Just make sure you''re wearing your seatbelt before you start. :->. If you get sick of skinned meshes, you can try vertex blending but that isn''t that easy either.
