D3DCOLOR_ARGB() value to his origin...how?!

hi, I''m search fo a method to become the single color values out of the whole color value that D3DCOLOR_ARGB() generate. I''ve trying it with some bit shiftings, but I haven''t luck until now...damn Pls could someone paste this code?! Thanks alot... Mfg Impz0r

d3d color: 0xaarrggbb.
alpha = (color>>24)&255;
red = (color>>16)&255;
green = (color>>8)&255;
blue = color&255;

thats all. simple as that.
