Does anyone have more info about this: http://ps2.ign.com/news/41321.html I am wondering if you can create real PS2 Games or if you only create Linux game that runs on a PS2.... Any other website you guys know about that might talk a bit more about this?

You can create PS2 Games that *ONLY* run under the PS2 Runtime, which in turn runs under PS2 Linux. You can also code PS2 Linux software. For more info, go to www.playstation2-linux.com

in other words, you only get enough access that sony wants you to have. this means no dvd playback (unless you use decss) no audio cd playback (ps2 rte wont let you recognize that an audio cd is in the drive) and DEFINATLY no cdr usage (ps2 rte again will prevent access to the hardware). so basically put, dreamcast is better for linux devving.
Is it going ot use C/C++?
