I''ve got a slight problem, that probably only requires a sentence or two answer. If I create a new project in Microsoft Visual C++, and then copy the basic window initialization code, etc., and build, there is always an error! There is unresolved external symbol "_main". Now if I create the project and insert the file instead of cut and pasting the code itslef, this error does not occur. Im wondering why and the solution. This happens without even modifying the code. I have DirectX 8.0, but the copied code is for 6 or 7. Any help or hints anyone can provide as to the solution/cause of the problem would be very appreciated.

You probably need to define WIN32 or _WINDOWS (or both) for preprocessor. And then of course include either windows.h or afxwin.h.
