took about 3 weeks..I know its a long time for a game like this, but keep in mind that it was my first and I had to learn the Win API and DirectX along the way.

Downloaded it! Very impressed.

Not much else to say really. Um... the only thing for me was the key setup. I was pressing the down key to try and drop the blocks and I kept rotating them (too used to Tetris). Still my problem not yours.

One question. How long from beginning to learn programming to finishing your game?

Regards.

Well I took a C++ class in highschool (AP Computer Science) which lasted one semester. After the class was over, I started working on this game and finished it in about 2 weeks. That was last year. Then just a little while ago, I went back and added multiplayer support, fixed some bugs and added a few other features which took another week.

Well if you want it portable I recommend you use SDL, as your game is all in 2D. Don''t know about the multiplayer support though... is it DirectPlay or something else? Anyways, I recommend SDL, for it''s ease of use and OpenGL:ness (SDL uses OpenGL for 3d
