SDL Question

Hey, Sorry I''m posting this question here, but there isn''t a forum for SDL, and I''ve been racking my brain for hours now. I have a program. It''s a remarkably simple program - all it does is blit a bunch of tiles to the screen within a nested for loop. Normally, in DX, I can pull off about 100 FPS with something so simple. However, I''m getting 30 with SDL. I have a friend. He has a program in SDL that is much more complicated, and his program is running at 150 FPS. However, when he runs my program, it''s still 30 FPS. This leads me to believe that there must be some flaw within my code. However, I can not find ANYTHING that could possibly cause such an effect. If anyone has any information on this topic that could help me, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, --Nairb

Make sure you use the SDL_HWSURFACE flag on your surfaces and check to see if hardware accelerated blits are enabled.
