I''m trying to to drag one of the list results in another program(meaning select the list box item, then drag it over) and drop it into a listbox on my form (I''m using Visual Basic at the moment). Is there any way to do this? The only "data" that I''d like brought over from the drag-n-drop is the string in one of the listbox''s columns.. So..any help guys?

Object Linking and Embedding(OLE). It's the devil, and you'll quickly learn to hate it, but it does what you need.

Well in Visual Basic, it''s:

Private Sub exampleList_OLEDragDrop(Data As DataObject, Effect As Long, Button As Integer, Shift As Integer, X As Single, Y As Single)

End Sub

But the properties of the Data object are only like

.Files
-->.Files.Item(etc)
.GetData(format as integer)
.GetFormat(format as integer)

Very limited like that. I thought GetData would have something to do with my question, but if it is, I don''t know what to use in the arguments for "format".

So eh..heh now what
