i saw it in SDK doc,but i can''t find the meaning of this term. pls tell me about it,thanks. jerry2 Programming,make a whole new world.

Multisampling, as far as I can tell, is any effect (such as motion blur and depth-of-field) that samples pixels multiple times to achieve said results.

Its basically a fancy name for full screen anti-aliasing.

i also saw there r 2 types of surfaces:render-target,depth-stencil.
then i know the latter one is used for the ones which need depth and stencil buffer,and the former one is used for what need color buffer.
then is multisample relative with these?
