Anyone have any problems with this D3DX interface? Specifically I''m using it to display frame rates just using the Arial font. It works fine on my Rage Pro but it doesn''t work on either a Nvidia TNT2 Ultra or a GeForce2 MX. Just wondering if this is a known thing and if it''s just a Nvidia problem.

I can''t say I have had any problems with it on my ATi rage fury pro. Mind you, I haven''t tested it on anything else.

G''day!

I''ve used it successfully on a GeForce256. Here''s a link to a tutorial on my site on D3DX. It has an executable, so you can try it and see if it works on your system(s).

Though I would recommend using either D3DFont (part of the SDK), tutorial here:
http://www.drunkenhyena.com/docs/d3d_tutorial.phtml#CD3DFont

Or my own font bitmap class located here:
http://www.drunkenhyena.com/docs/dhFastFont.phtml

On the FastFont page you''ll see some benchmarks I ran using these 3 font methods. D3DXFont is VERY slow.

D3DXFont uses state blocks, some drivers have issues with these. Try either:

1)Upgrading the driver

2) Create a regkey - EmulateStateBlocks under Direct3D (Local software, microsoft), make it a DWORD and set it to 1.
