List of *86 opcodes...

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know where I can find a list that shows the opcodes for the 186, then the new ones for the 286, then the new ones for the 386, then the new ones for the 486, then the new ones for the 586? This would be very useful for me. Thank you. Jake

Try this URL: http://developer.intel.com/design/pentium4/manuals/245471.htm

I''m pretty sure that it covers most of what your asking, good luck

Thanks, I''ve got that, I (may be missing something) wanted something that distinguished which commands were supported by which processor... I (may be missing something) think that the manual you linked me to doesn''t give any information in that regard... Thank you very much for it, though.

There should be reference material on 386 processors, etc. or at least try the ones for IA-32 (Intel Architecture-32-bit). From the references on which new processor features relate to which new instructions, you should be able to figure out which instructions were introduced with which processors.

Is it just me, or is finding references to older processors at the Intel website quite difficult?
