Unhandled exception

Whenever I get to "gpD3dDevice->Clear(0,NULL, D3DCLEAR_TARGET, D3DCOLOR_XRGB(0,0,255), 1.0f,0)" in my dx code I get the "Unhandled Exception" error in the debug. Any clues??? <>

gpD3dDevice is probably NULL.

Are you sure you've not typo'd from g_pD3dDevice?

If no, then call

    
if (g_pD3dDevice != NULL)
gpD3dDevice->Clear(0, NULL, D3DCLEAR_TARGET, D3DCOLOR_XRGB(0,0,255), 1.0f, 0);
