OpenGL Opengl Raster Positioning

Hi, I''m trying to convert a 2d game I wrote into 3d, by converting all the sprites into small 3d objects. Everything seems to converting over nicely, but I''ve hit a small problem.. How can I position the objects using the old window coordinates system ?. I''ve just seen the glRasterPos command which is used for bitmaps. Is it possible to use this to get the 3d coords for a 2d position ? eg: I''d like to keep the old coordinate system.. x=10, y=10, but can I project the same position on a 3d opengl display ?. Help !

Problem solved !!

The answer was in topic below mine.

To get really good quility textures when they are projected onto small objects should I setup the texture filter commands any different ?
