Accumulation buffer
No consumer level 3D card currently supports the accumulation buffer. I''d guess you''d have to spend several thousand dollars to get a card supporting the accumulation buffer in hardware (I''m not sure, though, I''ve never really shopped for those ).
Look at the 3DLabs Wildcat III 6210.
Full hardware accumulation buffer support, 416 MB memory onboard, 6 parallel T&L engines, 32 hardware lights, etc... Nice 3D board. Turns around $10k.
Or if you want something really good, go for the SGI Onyx3800 series. Gigabytes of video memory, the full OpenGL pipeline in hardware, the ultimate OpenGL power From about $200k straight upwards.
