OpenGL OpenGL animations - Is it possible?

Of course it is, but how? I''m trying to create animations using bitmaps. For example, I have a sequence of bitmaps that show a person running. Now, if I wanted to display those bitmaps in opengl, (i.e., the person running), how do I do this? Do I bind and unbind the multiple textures several times? Please help!

You can, or combine them all into one large texture and just index into the appropriate one w/ glTexCoord().
