How to make my .EXE to Screensaver

Recommended Posts

A screen saver is an exe - that is, both files have the same format. There are coding differences of course. Check out the screen saver example from the faq at winprog.org.

Just to present the information for the guys in here who can''t be bothered with links Screensavers are basically executables whose extension are .scr and that contain special resources and respond to special command line parameters which windows passes to it. Once you know what resources to include in your project and how to respond to these parameters (Example: /p denotes the preview and an HWND is also passed on the command line for the window to display your screensaver in - I think! *g*).

My memory is a little rusty - just check out the link LessBread kindly posted
