Status Bar w/o MFC

I have a window written in Win32, without using MFC, as I do not like it, too cluttered and to much overhead, just my oppionion. well does anyone know how to put a status bar into a win32 window, without using MFC. thanks much to everyone Code makes the man

Inside the WM_CREATE message you create a child window using STATUSCLASSNAME. You set up an array of ints to hold the width for the various panels of the status bar and you send the newly created window a SB_SETPARTS message to set them. You have to take this child window into account when handling WM_SIZE messages. The details can be found at MSDN.
