3D Tile based World
Hi!, first excuse my bad english. I''m developing a RPG tile-based game and I''m working in the graphic Engine. What''s your opinion about implementing a 3D tile-based World in OpenGL, and use 2D Sprites to represent the items and actors in the graphic scene??
I will use SDL library to combine GL support with 2D graphic routines. Whats your opinion about this too?? . Thank''s for your help...
I''m doing exactly what you propose and it seems to be working good so far. I haven''t yet got to adding actual mobile units to the game, but I''m close.
