Flickering models when small (prob. not z-buffer problems)

Hello. I have a problem with flickering when I view my model (an airplane) from behind. The wings are pretty thin and starts to flicker. You could say it looks like the wings change length back and forth. I think it is because the wings are thin and are not drawn when the wingpolygons are othogonal to the camera. Is there any solution to this problem? Btw I''m not SURE it''s not a z-buffer problem. Thanks in advance.
