Hi, I am working on the mouse interface for my tile based rpg and was wondering what the best way to get my character to move to the spot that i clicked. Right now it is working... I have tried adding the same amount to playerx and y until it gets to the spot clicked... this works, but looks unnatural. So then I found the x distance and y distance and used the slope to make the character move in the appropriate direction... this also worked to an extent, but what I was wondering is: Is there an "easier" way to find the right directional vector that may be less computationally expensive? Is there a standard way to do this? Thanks - Free Your Mind -
