How old are you?
Just wondering how old most people are here and how much they''ve achieved uptil now.. So: age, programming language(s), job/student, how advanced you are in OpenGL/DirectX/etc?
How long is a piece of string, anyway ? I look at it this way :
1) Programming is not a competition, its either a hobby or a career.
2) You need to measure your own skills against your own skills !
Kind of rhetorical, but I judge that I was better at ASM on the Intel 80486 10 years ago than I am at C++ on Wintel today. This only serves to satisfy my own ego, nothing more.
These values work for me, but would be different for everybody else.
In summary, I believe that one judges oneself using ones own values, others judge you on the fruits of your labour.
Stop dreaming, start coding !
