anyone ever actually FINISH an RPG?
when i was in jr. high, i started one in Qbasic. The best map editor is a text editor! Just use different letters as different tiles, it even looks like the map if you choose the right letters! Damn, i sound like i''m still in jr high(im not, im in college)!
I''ve finished quite a few games... many were small, way back in 1987-1990 on the TRS80/COCO machines. Since I''m a full-time programmer by day (not game related), I don''t have as much opportunity to learn new things and do as much game programming as I would like, but here are a few games of mine you can check out:
Stand-Alone Single Player
(Lunatix: The Insanity Circle is my favorite)

I did manage to write a complete game for my book, Programming Role Playing Games with DirectX. Although the game is very short, it does show how quickly a real game can be put together. Check it out!

Read the book just didn''t have a 3D accelerated card to utilize it. Maybe soon, grin.
