Rotating particle system

I made a basic particle system and I am trying to incorporate it into a game, but I have a problem. How do I rotate the particle system so I can have it coming from the ground or a wall or whatever? Any ideas on how to deal with this? Thanks in advance.

Just set the initial velocities of the particle in the direction you want them to leave the surface and change the acceleration for the system if need be.

indeed... just make x-y-z velocity and x-y-z gravity

in that way you can move in any direction... no need for rotation
