Reading m3u Files

Hi, I''m trying to read m3u files (unsuccessfully), can anyone help? I have tried to look for info on google for the source or just helpful info but I have come up empty. I anyone has info or something, it would really help! Thanks

You mean WinAmp index files? They're just text, open one up to get a feel for how it's laid out and go from there. The rest is parsing in your favorite language.

Here's a snippet:

#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:206,Rage Against the Machine - Guerilla Radio
better\Rage_GuerillaRadio.mp3

#EXTM3U - indicates that this is an m3u file
#EXTINF - likely indicates an entry
followed by time in seconds and song title
the next line looks to be the relative path to the file
(relative to the path of the m3u file)

here's a general syntax

#EXTINF:<seconds>,<title>
<relative path to file>
