Jester need to give respons first.
DavidRM is indeed one of the succesfull people who implemented the online marketing model.

Don''t forget Dexterity and also Diana Gruber.
But when I checked the above list, you see that finding a niche for a specific gametype is important.

Especially card and puzzle games are developed by the most shareware online game companies.

So I think that it''s important to question your self, if you are good in original design of a specific card or puzzle game.
And build up your design skills. The benefit is that for these type of games you don''t have to be affraid about the high costs.
You can manage easier the development.

Also other type of games like board and casino are doing well online.

Yes I am selling my games mainly online. I am also selling the fullversion to three german magazines, but it makes up a small degree of the income.

Right now I am in a process of expanding my business acquiring some new teams and products. Becoming a LLC will definately help to get more attention of magazines, etc. too.

I am doing this for a living, but I am studying law too. Please understand that I cannot tell you any figures now. Actually its a shame that I am studying right now. Without that I think I could earn enough money to never need to work again (but then again, who knows?). On the other hand I like studying law.

But I wouldn''t like to make a puzzle game or something like that. That''s not the kind of game I like to play. I am only doing games I love to play myself.

Take care,
(and buy my games)
Jester
