Sphere Smoothin

Can anyone tell me how to smooth a sphere or a bunch of poly gons? i am literally rendering many triangles from loading a file, and i want everything to be smooth, how can i do this.

Calculate per-vertex normals and use them for your lighting. If you load any standard format(like ase,3ds,md2,md3,...) vertex normals are included in file, you just have to load them.

There are more worlds than the one that you hold in your hand...
