terrain drawing with no z-buffer
Hi,
I wrote a heightmap program that draw the terrain in an ordered manner, with no z-buffer.
My question is that:
How do I know if I am trashing the cpu cache at every tile I draw?
Because i read the tile array four times per frame, each time drawing it differently. (backward half the time)
How do i know what performance i get?
cause my program seem to be more fill-rate limited than cpu-limited, so no matter how i draw it, i get the same speed.
