Are you using jdk1.4 or an earlier one?

I''m using 1.3, I never bother to update. Does 1.4 support this?

1.4 has native support for fullscreen where you can change screen resolution and what not. Unfortunately it is buggy for me, even go my name in the bug report. Yeah me. Try this -

JFrame f = new JFrame();
Dimension d = Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().getScreenSize();
JWindow w = new JWindow(f);
w.setSize( d );
