[java] VolatileImage slow after a couple of secs?

i''ve got a little problem getting VolatileImage to work properly. i think i''m doing everything the correct way (been reading Jeff''s article at javagaming and other posts, etc). everything is going smoothly (300+ fps) for a while, but then after a couple of seconds something happends and everything slows down considerably (~5 fps). this is something related to VolatileImage since when i use normal Images it works ok. any idea what''s happening? am i loosing the contents of the VolatileIm or something else? on faster systems it works perhaps 30 secs but on slower systems ~2 secs. anyone else who have experienced the same thing? i''m probably missing something very basic. _______________________ http://mill.3dfxsweden.net
