[java] Buying Object-Oriented book.
I was thinking to buy this book: Understanding Object-Oriented Programming with Java.
http://cseng.aw.com/book/toc/0,3830,0201308819,00.html
It looked good but it''s quite old(1998).
And I''d want something newer.
Anyone has any good book in mind?
The book that really opened my eyes for OO is this one: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0201633612/qid=1016464120/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_71_1/102-4419674-8281725
The examples are in C++ and some Smalltalk, but dont let that stop you. Every OO programmer should own it.

Design patterns is a classic. Many articles and books about OO make references to it. Personally I do not have it since I had access to a few copies of it at the last place I worked, but it is THE book that comes to mind when someone asks about OO books.
