Hi! I was wondering if there is a way to take over the desktop HWND handle, and do animations on it? (Kinda like the xlock +inroot function in Linux). Is it possible to do so in windows? And if so, how do i do it? Electron

Not "take over". And no, anyways.

Doing animations that seem to be on the desktop is easy. Create an window application window with no border or caption and the WS_VISIBLE style bit inverted, then use regions to restrict the drawing to your animating characters. There''s an example somewhere in MSDN; I remember it from MSVC 4.0.
