Loading BMP´s

Hi! Can anybody tell me where can I find a good code implementation for loading a Windows bitmap file? I´m currently using TOTWGPG´s functions, but I´ve heard some people complaining that they were not good enough. Up to the moment I´ve found lots of information on the bmp file, but I´m afraid no implementation. Thanks!!

For DDraw, just go to Forums, then scroll down to Interactive Hands On Game Development or something like that. It''s a tutorilal on starting DDraw. There is code he gives you, and I used his bitmap loader for all of my DDraw programs.

For DX8, which eliminates DDraw, just go through the tutorials on the SDK, and you can supplement them with the tutorials found on www.drunkenhyena.com.
